DMB | DFE Offices

Description

Challenged with the new corporate headquarters for a legacy developer and their family foundation, this sophisticated, timeless suite incorporates rich materials and pops of color. Planning allowed for each separate company to have their own elevator lobby entrance with unique, but similar materials and finishes. Large slabs of Carrara marble with integrated warm wood ceilings and integrated lighting were used in both to unify the points of entry.

The development entrance features large sequenced-matched marble slabs, light tile floors, classic contemporary furniture with views to a large private patio and the main boardroom. The custom large scale, undulating light fixture anchors the space and leads to the quartz and back painted glass reception desk, intentionally bright in contrast with the warmth of the ceiling.

The foundation lobby entry is a smaller, more intimate space, with custom fluted stone walls, large brass inserts, and a colorful seating area. A highly detailed, wood slat ceiling with integral lighting was used to anchor the space. The conference room is used for many functions and contains an adjoining café space separated by a retractable ceiling mounted wall system providing flexibility for larger gatherings. Walnut flooring with neutral materials and colors are accented by the companies love of Ferrari red and their extensive art collection.

The two companies are joined by the offices, workstations, collaboration spaces, ancillary spaces, and a centralized break room with direct access to the private patio space, creating a perfect marriage of the unique styles and ethos of each company.
